Skokie to get its first assisted living facility for seniors following Village Board vote

The Skokie Village Board approved a series of measures recently that clear the way for what officials say will be the first assisted living facility ever built in the village.

The approvals at the Oct. 15 Village Board meeting will allow Grandbrier Senior Living to be built in the 5300 block of Lincoln Avenue near Main Street, the former location of U.S. Toy Constructive Playthings.
