Celebrate Halloween at the Skokie Farmers’ Market!

Calling all ghosts, goblins, witches, and superheroes! Children and adults are welcome to arrive dressed in costume for trick-or-treating at the Skokie Farmers’ Market on Sunday, October 28, from 9 a.m. to noon! Many of our vendors will have some surprise costumes to show off too!

Don’t miss this action-packed day as the market hands out trick-or-treat bags for children to help celebrate at the market.
• Trick-or-treating from 9 a.m. to noon
• A Children’s Cookie Walk at 10 a.m. (musical chairs)
• RC Juggle joins us for some super-duper Halloween themed balloon creations.

The Skokie Farmers’ Market is conveniently located in the Village Hall parking lot, 5127 Oakton. Hours are 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and open through November 5 – the day in which we host the Jack-o-lantern recycling and paper shredding event!

Come to see what autumn brings to the Farmers’ Market. You will not be able to resist delicious apples including the coveted honey crisp and ginger gold varieties. The season also offers squash, brussel sprouts, various lettuces, mushrooms, eggplant, potatoes and much more. Carry home a bushel of your favorites!

Additionally, the Skokie Farmers’ Market is committed to the environment and is making efforts to create a zero-waste market. The Skokie Farmers’ Market now offers food scrap collection every Sunday. Food scraps are collected by Lakeshore Recycling Services and is responsibly composted. Check out our Waste Wise Station at the market to learn more.

The Skokie Farmers’ Market accepts SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and is open every Sunday through November 4, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is located in the Village Hall parking lot at 5127 Oakton Street. The market is sponsored by the Consumer Affairs Commission and supports local farming to bring fresh, nutrient-dense produce to the community.
